Never tried a chalet? What’s it all about?

Great food and wine, fantastic, friendly service, unbeatable locations and a warm welcoming atmosphere – that’s what!

A ski chalet is a fantastic choice for anyone who enjoys a social skiing experience. A chalet can offer you cosy bedrooms, welcoming social areas, and dedicated chalet hosts who take care of the catering and cleaning.

Chalets are the perfect residence while enjoying the snowy mountains; once a place of shelter for those trekking and working across these stunning landscapes, modern chalets now provide a comfortable and warm place to unwind after a day spent hitting the slopes.

At Inghams, our range of chalets include large lodgings sleeping over 30 people as well as more intimate accommodation of eight bedrooms. In each chalet are dedicated chalet hosts, whose role it is to ensure your ski holiday runs smoothly and effortlessly by taking care of the cleaning and dining so you can concentrate on having a great time.

These give you easy access to holiday essentials – like restaurants and leisure facilities – or you can choose a locally run hotel for an authentic experience of the culture in resort.

You can ski to your door in some hotels, while others have Crystal Childcare on their premises. There’s a great selection for all tastes, budgets and group sizes, with typically warm hospitality – so you only have to lift a finger for the important stuff, like pointing out food on the menu.

Truly world-class is the only way to describe skiing in France.

Huge mountains, high altitude ski areas and an excellent snow record makes France perfect for everyone from cautious first timers to well seasoned skiers and snowboarders looking for some new terrain to explore.

French ski resorts range from the small and traditional where life is noticeably slower paced (except for the lifts) to the well-thought-out, purpose-built variety where convenience is king.

France has the widest choice of places to stay too. Choose from cosy catered chalets with open fires, fully serviced hotels with in-house childcare, or the independence of a self-catered apartment.

Relax in the indoor pool or hot tub at a leisure centre, dine out on Italian, Tex-Mex or Savoyard specialties or seek out the few bars that stay open after midnight. Try a Bar pub or a nightclub.

For an afternoon off the slopes, head to a theme park or Wellness Centre and relax in the waves and water jets. You’ll even find dedicated kids area. If you want to stay on the snow, try out the sledging, cross country skiing or the new activity of Speed Mountain tobogganing! Ideal for mini speed demons.
